RM of Lake of the Rivers’s story

The Rural Municipality of Lake of the Rivers No. 72 was incorporated as a rural municipality on December 11, 1911. It lies in the southwest part of Saskatchewan, and the town of Assiniboia is surrounded by it.

Within its boundaries is the unincorporated community of Davyroyd, as well as the locality of Willows, which was dissolved as a village on January 1, 1950. The RM's office is in Assiniboia, and the Assiniboia Airport is located in the municipality.
